Swarmer expands to Japan with support from Rakuten Group

Swarmer оголосила про вихід на ринок Японії за підтримки Rakuten Group

Swarmer has announced its plans to expand its advanced autonomy solutions in Japan with the support of Rakuten Group. The partnership will support the introduction of the company’s technological offerings to the Japanese market and accelerate its entry into Japan’s unmanned systems ecosystem.

Angel One Fund previously invested in Swarmer under a syndicated agreement.

Founded in 2023, Swarmer develops autonomy software for coordinating multiple unmanned systems across different platforms. The company’s technology was first deployed in combat operations in April 2024 and has since supported more than 100,000 real-world missions.

Swarmer’s solutions are designed to operate in complex environments, including conditions affected by electronic warfare and limited connectivity. The company focuses on collaborative autonomy and multi-agent systems, enabling unmanned platforms to coordinate and operate at scale.

“Japan is one of the world’s most sophisticated robotics environments and our long-term vision is to bring interoperable, high-assurance autonomy to partners who operate at that level,” said Serhii Kupriienko. “Rakuten’s reach, reputation and understanding of Japan’s technology priorities make them the ideal partner to scale advanced autonomy and multi-vehicle coordination across the region.”

The collaboration with Rakuten is expected to support Swarmer’s expansion into Japan, where the company aims to contribute to applications across research, security, infrastructure, and industry.

Angel One Fund welcomes this development and is pleased to support the company as it continues its international expansion.
