Angel One Fund took part in two youth-focused events that showcased the strength of the Ukrainian innovation community — THE FINAL PITCH PERSH1 by YEP Accelerator and the Democracy Tech Pitch Competition in Kyiv.
At THE FINAL PITCH PERSH1, Angel One Principal Valeriia Fadieienko served as a jury member, evaluating teams based on their market understanding, product readiness, and scaling potential. She shared her perspective, noting: “As an IdeasLab mentor, I truly enjoy working with student startups because they are open to change and feedback. This openness and speed of development are exactly what shape strong founders.”
The grand prize of UAH 1,000,000 was awarded to Spotoria, a mobile app for finding and booking parking spaces in real time. Spotoria is also a participant in the IdeasLab 8.0 program at Ideas Center UCU — further highlighting the importance of supporting young teams at the earliest stages.
Angel One also joined the Democracy Tech Pitch Competition, organized by the Alliance of Democracies Foundation, YEP Accelerator, and PERSH1. Valeriia Fadieienko took part in the panel discussion “Defence Tech in Ukraine: Building Innovation for the Frontline”, where she spoke about Ukrainian defense innovations tested under wartime conditions and their relevance for Europe and global security. She also served on the jury evaluating startups working to strengthen democratic processes, information security, and digital resilience.
The winner of the competition was Sec-TA, which received $1,000 and a place in the Democracy Tech Entrepreneur Fellowship 2026. Their automated compliance and cybersecurity platform was praised for its potential to enhance trust, transparency, and digital sovereignty at a time when democracy depends on secure systems.
